During 2009 the Artist had visited several Art Museums and local exhibitions on a rainy August family summer holiday. Returning to the hotel and seeing the rain running down the window, the wind howling and all the modern sailing vessels bouncing on their moorings set his imagination running. Thinking back to the trading vessels of yesteryear he set too with mixed media to reinvent a stormy day at Cobbs Quay in 1874.
