Unpolluted River Thames Tributary in the style of Vincent Van Gogh

During 2019 the Artist had the opportunity to take time out to reduce his blood pressure. He has always enjoyed the work of Van Gogh and decided to paint a few in tribute. Also to revise the lessons learnt at Harrow art college some fifty years earlier. This painting is one of half a dozen similar works painted during the summer of 2019.
The news that was making the local press headlines in West Oxfordshire at the time was the dreadful pollution of the nearby River Windrush which runs through Burford and Market Town of Witney and the local West Oxfordshire District Council was planning on holding a whole day public debate known as 'Water Day' in an attempt to find a long term solution to the ever worsening pollution of the tribuatory of the River Thames.
